Fuel Up to Play 60—Tasting Day!

  Today was another wonderful tasting day.  The students tried fresh pineapple and whole wheat dinner rolls.  Our local grocery store has offered fresh pineapple for $0.99--$1.99 all winter long—so we purchased 16 pineapples.  We averaged 10 servings per pineapple.  They were VERY well accepted.  The plate waste was minimal, and only one student out of 120ish stated they hated pineapple.  The whole wheat dinner rolls were less accepted—texture may be an issue.  So we will try white whole wheat bread
