It’s Picking Time!

I love this time of year with warm weather, long days, and lots of time spent outdoors.  I also get excited for our family tradition of heading to pick-your-own farms.  As a kid, I have so many fond memories of going strawberry picking in the early summer and apple picking in the fall.  My parents would pack a picnic lunch and we’d spend the day picking apples or strawberries and enjoying the great outdoors. Gardening in Omaha

Rain + Sun + Heat= Great Plant Growth!   That’s what has been going on this week! We had over two inches of rain in the past week, and the temperature has been at least 70°F.  This is perfect weather for plants to grow!  I went back yesterday to help plant our tomatoes, broccoli and egg plant.  The enthusiasm of the kids and their teachers was incredible!  Almost everything we planted from seeds last week came up.  The radishes are about 1
