New Urban Agriculture Website Provides Information for Growers & Consumers

Through work I have had the opportunity to be part of many exciting ventures.  One of my most recent opportunities is being part of the UNL Extension Urban Agriculture development team.  We are establishing new and innovative ways to promote and increase Urban Agriculture.

So what is Urban Agriculture?  It is the practice of producing food within or surrounding an urban area, including farms (large & small), community gardens or backyard gardens. It benefits a community through income production, creating small business entrepreneurial opportunities and sustainable communities. Resulting in the consumption of more fruits and vegetables, and a healthier diet for residents.
