They provide many flavors, textures and aromas. Eating a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables provides needed vitamins, minerals and nutrients for good nutrition and health. Research indicates that people who eat more fruits and vegetables have reduced risk of some chronic diseases.June is rightly called National Fruit and Vegetable Month. Spring vegetables and fruits are a welcome change after winter. You can use fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables. Using at least one frozen fruit or vegetables makes the smoothie refreshing!<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">Baby spinach and romaine are mild tasting greens to use for people newly trying green smoothies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERInstructions\">\n<div class=\"ERInstructionsHeader\">Instructions<\/div>\n<div class=\"instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Chop fruit and vegetables into about 1\u201d pieces.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth. If needed, stop the blender to push pieces from the edges down into the liquid.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Serve in a chilled glass and garnish with a chunk of fruit or leaf.
